This week Reception held a writing workshop to help children with their writing skills. The children were joined by their grown and took part in several different activities.
The children in Reception class have been reading the story of the Three Little Pigs. They have took part in many different activities and tasks. Take a look below……
We have been making the little pigs houses from straw, sticks and lego bricks. We then tried to blow them down just like the big bad wolf.
We have also been blowing paint pictures.
We have been making bricks in the sand.
We have also drawn some amazing pictures on the interactive board and wrote sentences too.
This week we took part in our first Little Kickers session with Coach Chris. Over the next 6 weeks we will learn lots of new skills.
We have also started the ‘Mile a Day’. Each day we go into the yard and walk or run for 15 minutes. Not only is this great for our health and well-being but it’s fun too!
We have had great fun using the schools new large apparatus in the hall.
We have also been taking part in some balance bike sessions.
This half term our topic is ‘Food’ and we have been tasting some delicious foods.
We tasted the different fruit that Handa had in her basket, from the story ‘Handa’s Surprise’
We made some alternative healthy doughnuts using apples.
And some fruity pizza’s.
Our amazing numeracy skills were also shown to our parents during the Maths Workshop.
This week Early Years put on their costumes and performed ‘Nursery Rhyme Nativity’ for the rest of the school, parents and grandparents. Their hard work certainly paid off with an amazing performance by each and everyone. Well done Early Years
